Laura,
in the past you mentioned your interest in the Lilypond - lute tablature.
I have continued using Lilypond to produce tablatures, both lute and lyra viol ones, from 2.10.33, and now on 2.14.2.
You can take a look at how they appear here (image files, not pdf, so the resolution is low):

My bad!!
It has been called to my attention by a friend that my not posting my thank you note until today makes it appear the repsonse took this long to arrive - not true!!
The response addressing my concern came within two hours of posting,
and that's some of the best site support I've had in a long time.
Thanks, again!
Yay!!!

Thanks for the follow-up!
The way we adjusted the printing on our own was to locate and execute the "print to fit" option on our printer. It worked well and without reducing the overall score significantly.
Again, thanks for the timely rreply=;-)

While printing out the score, there were a few places where notes ran off the right side of the page.
Could you possibly alter the (left) margin on the score so that all the notes of all the parts on all the pages print?
I have adjusted it by hand for now...and I know it's not much to most, but to our folk who are just learning barrless, even this little item was confusing.
Meanwhile, thanks for your great efforts...what a usefull tool your site is!

I also typeset a piece from the Odhecaton a couple weeks ago, Tmeiskin, using Lilypond, as a sort of test-run. I did it in a Petrucci-style original notation, and a "modern notation" version as well. You can see them at http://plover.net/~agarvin/tmeiskin.pdf and http://plover.net/~agarvin/tmeiskin-mod.pdf. This is from Canti A, for which there's a very nice modern edition from Amherst Early Music publications.

What I'm planning now is to start transcribing pieces from the Odhecaton C. There is no complete modern edition of the pieces in Canti B or C. I was thinking of supplying 4 versions for each piece: A Petrucci parts-book edition with original notation and clefs; a Petrucci version with G, C-3 and F clefs for modern players who would like to play from mensural notation but don't like the bother of soprano, mezzo-soprano or tenor clefs; a modern version with barlines, notated ficta, and treble, treble v8 and bass clefs for recorder players, and a modern version with viol-friendly clefs.

First:
This website of yours is a fine thing - I have found it helpful on several occasions - thank you!
The article you describe (on un-barred xcriptions) sounds interesting, but I can't find it here. Can you direct me to where I might find the text? This is a subject that has recently been under discussion among friends. I, too sometimes find unbarred notation more effective and I have taken some material that is published with barlines and tried to "restore" it. (I'm still trying to figure out when and where this is appropriate...) But some of my musicain friends simply can't wrap their minds around this - they believe they really NEED the barlines. So, the article you wrote sounds particularly interesting to me.
Thanks, again, for all your effort to share intersting music!
